Re: Weber
Terrible call gives Bishop his 4th foul. Hope that doesn't make the difference today.

Re: Weber
Another nice 3 by VanSickle.
A tidbit for you. VanSickle was a 40% three point shooter in high school. Started her freshman year OK but last year with the injury she was really hampered. Nice to see her getting her rhythm back. In last 6 games, Not including today she is 7 of 11 from the arc.
Bobcats up 68-33 at Q3.
Edit: VanSickle now 9 of 14 through 7 games (64%). Her tempo and speed picking up all the time.

Slipping away for the men. Had some opportunities to get a little separation from them but blew it. Now Weber is getting hot. They also haven't hardly missed a free throw

Re: Weber
Playing in Ogden is MSUs achilles heel. Only won 8 times in soon to be 60 tries. Weber has more wins (now 87) over MSU than any other team.
Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

Re: Weber
I think Sprinkle has the club going in the right direction. Even though we lost, it proved to me the Cats belong in that top tier. Give credit to Weber too- they are big and strong and can shoot the lights out of the ball. Weber shot 28-30 at the stripe.

Bobcat4Ever wrote: ↑Sat Feb 06, 2021 2:01 pm@WSUWILDCAT Hi, thanks for checking in here again. I do have a question for you. Weber has traditionally been good at both men’s and women’s basketball. The women’s team hasn’t been as successful, but lately they have gone from bad to worse. I was shocked to see they had no wins this season. What has happened there to women’s basketball?
I really wish I knew Bobcat4ever. Under Ord they seemed to finally get what they needed to finally get to competing for titles. They have the facilities that you would think could help but I think the reason mostly is because the administration at Weber just doesnt really care. Its never been the money maker whereas the mens team has. Which is super sad. Im not much of a fan of Womens ball but I'd love to see the womens team succeed. MSU's gals on the other hand.....Man what a team

Women: Coming off a 49 point win I would expect Weber State to play better-maybe even hit a few threes. Our team will have to guard against coming out flat and uninspired. It's all about each player getting just a little bit better. It should be a comfortable win in the end, but probably not 49 points comfortable.
Men: Weber State's strategy will be to swarm Xavier Bishop and put him on the floor as much as possible while going right at Belo and getting him in foul trouble. We need someone to step up-Adamu, Hood, Patterson, Gazeles, Mohamed...We have to figure out how to get stops. Last season the zone worked really good against them, but this is an almost completely different Weber State squad. I always keep my expectations pretty low when playing in the purple palace-which is usually a house of horrors for the Bobcats...except on that rare occasion when it isn't.
That dunk still gives me nightmares all these years later.

I’m very happy to see this. Happy for her and happy for the team to have another ready-to-play point guard. She developed a lot during her freshman year, and it looks like she put her away time to good use as she’s better than ever. Good defender, good passer, good shooter.
