This was a fun game to listen to, and the Cats pulled out a nice overtime road victory, against a Big XII opponent. Of course, we know what happens when the Bobcats invade Buffalo land. Bobby Howard had a monster performance tonight, and Danny Piepoli had a great one, too. The whole team did well, and responded to adversity when Colorado took a lead with 9 seconds to go. Bobby Howard was able to force overtime, but missed a free throw that could have won it in regulation. The Cats hit free throws in overtime, but so far, this is a major Achilles' heel for the team. They have some things to work on, but this one belongs to the Bobcats! What a great win.
GO CATS!
It's always a good day to be a Bobcat fan!

My name is Steve, if you'd like to know.

Yeah Yeah Yeah....saw that! I just wanted to create a post to show that we had won the game. Pretty big deal anytime you can beat a major conference in basketball or football.

These guys have been underachieving all year. Way to go down and get a HUGE win. Glad to see us start gelling as a team. Lets go get boise
I love the Bobcats and the Miami Hurricanes an unhealthy level

Your correct. The first two games i watched. The Nevada one and this one they are definitly showing huge improvement and really seeming to understand eachother out on the court.

I think you can scratch any plans of playing Colorado ever again.
Nice win Cats.

See the above link the the Boulder Daily Camera. The article is pretty straight forward-except they think Howard is a freshman. But the comments at the end are hilarious. MTBuff-who I believe has posted here before and apparantly lives in Bozeman isn't too happy (hooray for the hometown team!).

This answers the questsion about if our favorite official was reffing the game last night!!!!
And what about all those empty seats in the pictures!!!! I thought our attendance was bad agains Nevada, it was good compared to last night.

A couple of things stood out to me:
"Montana State leads the all-time series with CU 6-1."
and
"Attendance -- 2,058."
Pretty weak attendance figures even for a Tuesday night--what else do you do in Boulder, CO on 11/18? I wonder how long ago those other 6 games were?

So I take it this means that we are a Division 1 program again and can expect to compete with (and beat) Big 12 teams? That's cool.
(Reference to an awful game and post-game comments against Nebraska several years ago)

We beat them during the John Lazosky-Justin Brown era in Bozeman, and I recall beating them in Boulder during the Kwesi Coleman era (about 1995).
I think we may have owned them during the Golden Bobcat era (1929-30) but we owned everybody back then.

Not sure what year, but we beat them when they had Chauncey Billups on their team. I think he had 15-20 points against us. He went to the NBA the next year.

When trying to access CUBuffs.com, I get this message: "We are currently experiencing technical difficulties with this site." Coincidence?

My favorite quote so far, found on allbuffs
Montana State makes us look like CSU....seriously, we're their bitch

“Arguing with anonymous strangers on the Internet is a sucker's game because they almost always turn out to be—or to be indistinguishable from—self-righteous sixteen-year-olds possessing infinite amounts of free time.” -- Neal Stephenson, Cryptonomicon
