By Tom Schulz
For the third-straight week, the Big Sky has named Women’s Basketball Co-Players of the Week. Montana State’s Jenny Heringer and Weber State’s Caitlin Anderson were honored for games played between Nov. 25 - Dec. 1.
Heringer, a junior guard, led the Bobcats to a 90-82 home win over Western Carolina in Montana State’s only game of the week. She posted a team-high 20 points, including an impressive 5-of-9 effort from 3-point range. The native of Billings, Mont. shot 50.0 percent from the field and 55.6 percent from behind the arc. Heringer also added eight rebounds and dished out three assists.
“It’s exciting to see Jenny Heringer get recognition based on a well balanced outing against a very good team like Western Carolina,” said MSU head coach Tricia Binford. “It’s always a tough decision on who to nominate because we have had great balance and some outstanding performances.”
On the season, the Billings Central graduate is averaging 11.2 points and 7.8 rebounds, while shooting 36 percent from the field and 38 percent from long distance.
Montana State will host Boise State on Friday, Dec. 5 in Worthington Arena at 7 p.m.

Big time appology to POW Jenny Heringer
I must profusely apologize to MSU basketball women's player Jenny Heringer for not mentioning her player of the week award earlier!! Jenny is a local Billings girl has had some injury problems early in her carrier but it looks like she has put them behind her, and is playing fantastic ball this year.
