Brad Huse has recieved his second commit. The newest commit to the Bobcat Men’s program is Shawn Reid of Post Falls, Idaho. Reid is a 6-4 170 guard / forward who started for post fall since mid way through his freshman year and has started every game since. He was named the Player of the Year in the Inland Empire League, first team all Northern Idaho5A and second team all state last year, as Post Falls finished with an 18-7 record. As a sophomore he was named 1st Team All-IEL.
Reid averaged 14 points and 9 rebounds a game this past season.
Reid is an athletic player who played inside and out. He has good springs, quick hands, has a very “high basketball IQ”. I am told he is every bit of 6-4 this summer and may top out at 6-5 or so. It appears he made quite a few 3 points this past winter but I am told that his perimeter shooting is an area that he could improve.
Montana State first offered Reid last fall after he made an unofficial trip in October. Portland State, Colorado State and Cal Poly were recruiting him when he decided to pull the trigger for Montana State. Believe he attended the MSU camp also this past June.
As of right now MSU is the only Big Sky school that I know has any commits at all and this makes # 2 for the Bobcats. If anyone else knows of another Big Sky commit please drop me a line.
That is all the info I have on him as of right now but I will try to update this later.
