Memphis at home?? How the hell did we pull that off?

Pretty good schedule, IMO, with Oregon and Nevada in there. But we start the conference season on the 4th of December???? WTF? This is even earlier than last season. When will Fullerton pull his head out of his @$$?

But is the Memphis game really in Bozeman??

I'd guess it's due to the Bracket Buster game in Feb.- same as last year, but that is damn early to be starting conference play.

Ahh, you're probably correct.

And yes it is.

Certainly makes more sense. Still, a very good schedule.

Yep, the Memphis game is on the road. I'll edit the post I robbed from Will.

Every year I hate the two games we play against crap teams at home. I like the rest of the schedule and I like how we have 5 (slight chance of 6 with the bracket buster) games on TV this year. I would also assume that the Memphis game will be on the tube somewhere, so that would make 6 maybe 7.

I know CSTV (now CBS College Sports) covered Memphis extensively the past two seasons. Who knows if that will continue with the departure of Coach Calipari.

Haha, Coach Huse will really get a chance to whoop up on his old rival of Valley City State from his days at Jamestown College. (Not that he didn't usually take my old Vikings anyways)

It looks like the Cats have ended their agreement to schedule one home game with a Frontier Conference team each year. Does anyone know if this is true? Mslacat? Does anyone care that this has apparently gone by the wayside?

I have no information, but I'd rather NOT play Frontier schools. Just my 2 cents.

MSU's schedule looks comparable to the rest of the league schedules.

Looks like MSU may have gotten a bit of a break thanks to the Sunday Altitude TV games, as they'll only play one back-to-back road trip in conference play (EWU/PSU on Feb 12/13). Nice to see that we will be on Altitude 3 times, 2 of which are road games! Too bad we couldn't keep the Christmas tournament going this year, though. I've always enjoyed that.

Oh, and one more thing: Thanks to the BSC for finally figuring out that it's a good idea to schedule both Cat/Griz games while school is actually in session!

All things being equal, I'd agree, but that's only if you don't schedule out-of-state NAIA schools like Northern New Mexico. Or Valley City? C'mon, at least there's some local interest playing Carroll, Tech, or Rocky Mountain.

Also, does anyone know the maximum number of games (non-exhibition) that a D1 team can schedule? Just curious.

Let me clarify - I'd rather not schedule ANY NAIA or D-II schools. Unforunatley, due to our low-major status, that is impossible, unless we want to play most of our OOC games on the road...

Like anything else to do with the NCAA it's clear as mud, but from what I understand it's 27, so Big Sky teams would be allowed 11 OOC. This year the Cats have 12, so I'm guessing the BracketBuster game is an exception.
