It is being reported that Josh Huestis has committed to Stanford over Harvard.

that is awesome! can you imagine having to make the "tough" decision whether to play hoops for a certain school...or go to harvard! those stories are amazing to me. it's one thing to be a hell of an athlete and have many choices of where to go to school. also not easy. and it's one thing to be one of the smartest in your class, and have your pick of some of the most prestigious schools in the country. also, far from easy. but when these kids come up and have both of these options i'm constantly amazed. well done by this guy.

Great choice by Josh. He is on the path to being a very successful person, both in and outside of basketball. Good for him.

Great choice! I commend Josh and anyone that helped advise him, it seems like priorities were kept straight. I've got to say I am proud that two of the best players this state has ever produced (huestis and tinkle) have recently chosen a premiere academic school in Stanford.

The academics are great at Stanford but these are also basketball powerhouses year in and year out. Excellent choice.

They are a little down right now -- unanimous choice to finish last in the Pac 10. But those sorts of things turn around fast in basketball.
