This team is too susceptible to dry spells. Now tied.

34-33 MSU at the half. Went 10+ minutes without a field goal to lose a 17-point lead. At any rate, it's better than last year when we had 12 points at the half in this game!

Cats up 68-63 with :8.8 to go and the ball. Woohoo! Great play down the stretch, including big buckets down low by Bobby and a 3 by BJ to put us up 4 with under a minute to play.

Cats win 70-63 in a crazy, crazy game. Lost leads of 17 and 10 points VERY quickly but were somehow able to regroup right away each time. Great win!

My gosh! This team blows a 17 point lead in the first half and a 10 point lead in the second half-comes back from being down four and wins 70-63. The hero was Brandon Johnson who hit a three with 23 seconds left to put us up 4. Johnson will drive us all mad. He hit threes to start-disappears for a while-forgets to catch the ball-then hits that three.

Bobby Howard was the man of the match-he was terrific inside-and even hit a free throw on a three point play! He also had the assist to Johnson to seal it.

What a frustrating game-but a nice win.

Great road win!! Howard had a great game and the three by BJ at the end was key. Definitely a game of runs but the Cats hung in for the win. =D^ =D^

No, I'd call it a frustrating team. They don't look like they have an identity on offense. Do they want to be a run and gun or half-court offense? There are streches where they work the ball, make the extra pass, move without the ball, et open, make buckets and look absolutely unbeatable on the offensive end. Then they'll try to pick up the tempo, and have like 5-10 straight possessions with bad shots/no passing/selfish play.

Brad better get this team on the same page, because they can't keep playing like this and hope to have good success. The way this game started, we should have won by 40. And no, I'm not greedy. We obviously have a much deeper and more talented bench than ISU, with a host of players who can flat out shoot the ball. You look at ISU and they don't have any pure shooters besides Kilpatrick. They have to scrap and fight and work for every bucket, most of them coming off of offensive rebounds and driving to the hoop. Pretty much every Bobcat that sees major playing time (with the exception of Bynum, who is strictly a slasher) is capable of hitting jumpers from any spot on the court with great success.

That, and their rebounding... They got POUNDED on the boards today, but I think that's something they'll have to deal with all season. They just don't have that super-physical rebounder on the interior.

At one point they were trying to post up Navarre, the smallest guy on the floor, against a Gilchrest - is that really his game? NO!!! What happened? Gilchrest came over the top, stole the ball, and they scored in transition.

Yes, it was a good win and it's great to be 3-1 in conference, but a team that has this much experience and shoots as good as they do should not be having 10 minute scoring droughts, because it has been a common occurrence this season.

Good post. I've never seen a team lose big leads so fast.

We give up a lot of offensive rebounds-especially off missed threes. It killed us against Weber, but we got away with it today.

I do like how they are sharing the ball in the half court offense-when they make the extra pass-good things usually happen.
