Cat-Griz thoughts...

It is Cat-Griz this Saturday, right?

This weekend could be a big win for both the men and women. Hopefully the Cal State Bakersfield loss was the result of lack of planning and hugely overlooking them. If the men can play unselfish ball and get some defensive rebounds against the Griz's big men we can win this one.

The lady Griz have yet to win a road game this year so lets hope the lady Cats can help continue that streak!

Whats everyone's thoughts..

I was wondering when someone on here was going to talk about the Brawl of the Wild game this weekend, I hope the Cats win, I like MSU a heck of alot more than I like the Frissbies.

I think the cats win, Montana State has been alot more impressive in conf play this year (minus the EWU game) beating ISU who UM lost to, and beating Sac by 8, Montana needed a shot at the end to beat Sac.

Go Cats this weekend, Wild and Bob

The Cats should win. But as of late they have been playing poorly. Let's get it together and pull off a big win men!!! Go Cats!!

Griz have some of the better bigs in the conference; we are most likely doing to get dominated on the glass. The team can survive with very little offensive rebounds, but if we give the Griz too many second chances, it could be a problem. I think the key will be limiting second chance points for the Griz, and winning, or even being equal in the turnover battle.

It's started snowing in town and the roads are already slickening up a bit. For those of you traveling, give yourselves some extra time and drive safe.

As to the game: like Celtic I worry about the Griz big men. If the Cats can be aggressive with the rebounds and keep the Griz from getting too many chances, I think the Cats will win. If they are constantly getting beat on the glass, it could be a long night.

Don't forget the women's game starts at 2:05 PM tomorrow. Get out there and support the women!

Who has the games on TV? If it's on CW I'll have to find a bar with a big screen to watch.

According to the Cats website the game is on Montana News Station affiliates (CBS).

Looking into the crystal ball:

Cats will lead by as many as seven points, but Griz will pull it out and win by six.

What is up with the Lady Griz and the home and road thing? They are 0-8 on the road and 8-1 at home. That must be leading the nation in home court advantage vs. road game futility. Seems you should win some and lose some, wherever you are.

Go 'Cats -- beat the Griz -- twice in one day :D

I'm not quite sure how to preview or handicap either one of these games. The women's game will be interesting, as MSU is favored to win for the first time in many years. I have no idea why the Lady Griz haven't won away from home this season. I know they lost a lot of firepower from last season, and it's difficult to recover that much in one year. It should be a close and entertaining game, but if the Bobcats can play their game, they should have a good afternoon. The ladies need to get some good momentum going here, as the second half of the conference season has them traveling for 6 out of 8 games.

The men's game is even more difficult to decide. It won't be like the two regular-season matchups last year, where one team will pull away. If anything, this game will be like the 2 point Bobcat playoff win. The Cats need to take good shots, hit their shots, and frustrate the Grizzly ball handlers. They may have to concede a few boards and points on the inside, but shutting down a guy like Anthony Johnson will be the key. Again, the game comes down to the Bobcats making the plays, and taking care of business. It should be a fun day for Bobcat fans.

Well I can't find the game on anywhere in Helena, BSTV has no audio, and the feed from the internet audio is way off, not even worth listening to. I can't find the game on the radio either. Sigh.

Audio finally showed up a few minutes before half. I know about the online ones but they were a good 30 seconds out of sync, video was way ahead of the audio.
