Bobcats vs. Bengals

ISU is better than their record indicates. In fact they're probably most similar to the griz in our conference. They aren't particularly good from the outside, but you still have to pay attention. Broderick Gilchrest is similar to Will Cherry in that he's a streaky shooter, very fast, and can cause havoc and create things. They have a 7 foot center in David Bursema (I think that's his name) who is pretty skilled-and a very good free throw shooter.
I've watched ISU play a few times. They can look really, really good for stetches of the game. The difference between them and a team like the griz so far is their decison making isn't always so great. A lot of times you just wonder what they were thinking on a particular play.
They have good size and with Gilchrest running things they are dangerous. If they do manage to win enough games to make the tournament they are talented enough to be one of those teams that could come out of nowhere and win it.

Horrible start already, down 6-0.
Let's see if we can't beat that 10 points we scored in the first half against ISU a few years ago. And by beat that, I mean score less than 10.

Having rotten luck with the video feed so far. Anyone else having it cut out every 30 seconds or so to buffer?
Not a good start so far... couple turnovers, lotsa fouls, and down 10-0.

Yay, we finally scored, just 5:38 into the game!
We look lost, sloppy, and sluggish.

Down 25-19 at the half. This team is playing god awful horrible-that we're down 6 is a small miracle. Our offense is just 5 guys running around like chickens with their heads cut off until a turnover happens.

Not a good half by the Cats. Shot selection is terrible, coupled with 11 turnovers. As Belgrade says, you gotta be extremely pleased to be down only 6

Headless chickens have more energy.

this is pretty much the cat team i remember. thank god for rush as he's the only guy that looks like he has business being out there most of the time. frustrating to say the least...

How did we win any games this year? This is the sloppiest, laziest basketball I have ever seen.

Not really a pretty game from either team. A number of missed shots from point blank range, and some other...well...let's call them "interesting" shot selections.

Wow down 38-27 under 12min timeout. This is bad.

man, games like this...and especially effort like this always has me wishing we would have gotten garland over here. i know people bashed me on this before, and some clueless people think he couldn't play for the cats,

but garland had something like 28 and 12 against this very same idaho state team this year. we need a guy who plays hard all the time. we don't have it.

and while i'm whining in woulda coulda shoulda land....i miss the days where we always had that one shooter where every time it left his fingers you knew it was going in. you know, sprinkle, brown, conway, etc.

Before this season, I generally felt that way about Piepoli, but he is in a real shooting slump this year.

As ISU's analyst just said, "This is truly going to go down as one of the ugliest offense games in the annals of the game".

ya, he's a good shooter for sure. just always been streaky and doesn't have the confidence those other guys had. but it's what this team is seriously in need of. if for no other reason then to spread the floor.
