A win tonight puts us in the driver's seat at 2 games up on everyone. A loss opens the door for a 5 team fight to the finish.

Three big games this week with UM at UNC and PSU playing ISU.

They play 5 of the last 7 on the road...hopefully we're able to hang on and secure the 1 seed.

Should be a great game tonight. UNC is just as physical as the Lady Griz and wouldn't mind putting our forwards into foul trouble early.

I like our chances. We played six of the last 8 on road last year and went 5-1 on the road.

We're 3-0 on the road vs conf teams this year. Our only league loss was by one point. All but one league win was by 9 or more.

All of you have very good points. It's going to come down to the physicality in the paint and who's perimeter game (3-point offense and defense) is working. UNC doesn't hit the 3 as much as other teams (105-for-314 overall, 105 made/314 taken is last in Big Sky; 45-of-118 in BSC for 38 percent, which is dang good, but 18 is 2nd worst in conference play).
They block a ton of shots (89/3.9 per game overall; 39/3.9 BSC) and are plus-8 (38-30) on rebounding margin in BSC play.

MSU 25
NC 30

Bears playing very tight defense. UNC has done a good job of finding their post players for wide open shot down low, and getting rebounds.

Ausha Cole picked up a couple of quick fouls so Adams had to play quite a bit. Without the threat of Ausha 3 point threat NC is clogging the lane. Cats are struggling to make shots.

UNC has had the momentum most of the game.

I hope so, but UNC is getting away with a lot stuff down low. Semansky and Balien are getting mugged and are missing most of their turn around jumpers down low. This is a game where we really miss Chelsea Banis.

UNC 33
MSU 25 to start out 2nd half.

UNC 47
MSU 32

7:45 left to play.

Cole picked up her 4th foul. Cats are being forced into to bad shots and are turning the ball over.

Everything is going in for the Bears...nothing for MSU

Just one of those games.

Oh well. Makes for an exciting finish to the conference. Four teams within a couple games of each other. UNC, MSU, UM and ISU.

Must be...or too many homies in the crowd!

The girls have got a challenge if they are going to host the tournament....I figure if they win the rest of their games they still have to hope that UNC loses another one or the Griz finish below PSU....doesn't look promising!

 i don't know how to respond to that at all. I'd also like to say that The Pride of Highwood and neither PG has had bad games. Bussey's a streak shooter - when she's on, she's on. When she's off, she's off. I've seen her miss 10 shots in a handful of games the last two years. It was a bad shooting night for everybody. And if there is a Chronicle curse, what happens when I do the annual senior feature in a couple weeks? #-o
