Scouting the future
Both Kayla DeWit (Columbia Falls) and Jackie Elliot will be in Belgrade all weekend for the Class A state tournament. I, too, will be there all weekend covering the tournament. I'll provide a scouting synopsis on Sunday in a blog.

Ok, they changed times on us. Billings Central is at 12:30 p.m. vs Dillon; C-Falls and Belgrade play at 8 p.m.

Re: Scouting the future
Amen. I painfully watched our ladies miss one free throw after another in the 2nd half, and it eventually cost us the game against Portland State. Then, I hopped in my car and sped over to Belgrade to watch the BG girls and the Butte girls play for the district championship. It amazed me how well both of those high school teams shot free throws, yet our MSU ladies could not. I guess you could attribute it to "tired legs" since the depth on our women's team is really thin at this point.

They are usually very good free throw shooters...I think it was fatigue, PSU was really using all of their fouls and never letting us get a basket ...they didn't care if they fouled...and it seemingly workedaucat wrote:Amen. Re: Scouting the future
Hopefully that will bode well for the rematch tomorrow night at Portland. If they use the same strategy, but we make the FT this time, maybe we can pull off the road win, and then hope that ISU upsets UNC, so we can host the tourney. Go Cats!! (both the Bobcat and Bengal varieties that is)Helcat72 wrote:They are usually very good free throw shooters...I think it was fatigue, PSU was really using all of their fouls and never letting us get a basket ...they didn't care if they fouled...and it seemingly workedaucat wrote:Amen.
