Bobcats trailed early but now leading 35-28 with 15 to go in the game...

Edit: Cats are pulling away now, up by 15 with less than 5 to go. Great job ladies, now just need to get revenge on PSU on Saturday to get a Top 2 seed.

They're up 62-45 with 1:45 to go. Portland State beat the Grizzlies this evening, meaning that MSU (and PSU) will finish no worse than third. The game Saturday afternoon is huge. I'm not sure if MSU still has a chance to host, but I think it's possible if they finish tied with Northern Colorado. The ladies need the bye to rest for an extra day and it would be great to host that tournament!

Cats win 62-46. They're 11-4 in conference and it is their 8th road win this season. Nice job, ladies! =D^

If MSU beats PSU on Saturday and UNC loses in Pocatello, both MSU and UNC will finish 12-4 with losses to the exact same teams (UM, PSU, ISU, and a head to head split). If the tiebreaker comes down to RPI ranking, MSU currently has a huge lead at #133 vs. UNC's #201.

Edit: Yes, RPI is the third tiebreaker after head-to-head and performance vs. other conference teams. MSU wins, UNC loses and MSU hosts unless UNC somehow makes up 70 spots in the RPI.

Super great second half. They just owned EWU inside. Precision execution on offense.

Hope they can find the legs for the road sweep.

Here are the standings from the Big Sky Conference website, adjusted (by me) to include tonight's games.

School Big Sky Overall RPI remaining game on Saturday
Northern Colorado * 12-3 17-11 209 at Idaho State
Portland State * 11-4 18-10 146 vs. MSU
Montana State * 11-4 17-12 139 at Portland St.
Montana * 9-6 14-14 163 at E. Wash.
E. Washington * 8-7 12-16 275 vs. UM
Idaho State * 8-7 17-11 204 vs. N. Colorado
Northern Arizona 5-11 11-18 262 -season over-
Weber State 3-12 7-20 315 at Sac. St.
Sacramento State 0-15 3-25 331 vs. Weber St.

The RPI rankings come from the NCAA website. (http://www.ncaa.com/rankings/basketball-women/d1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)

The Cats will get no worse than the 2 seed with a win, and if Idaho State takes care of business, I'm calling for tournament tickets.

It would be fun to play UM again in the tourney, and if that happens, we may be catching them at a good time. The Lady Griz have to be the most schizo team in the BSC this year. They were really disappointing early in the season, then they looked like the best team in the league during the middle of the conference schedule, and now they've lost three in a row, two of which were at home, where they used to be invincible. I wonder how many years it's been since they've lost this many home games in a season?
