Lady Cats vs Vikings Rd 2

This is for the #2 seed in the conference. Both UNC and Portland State have really turned on a corner.

And if ISU can upset UNC, then the winner of the MSU/PSU game hosts the conference tourney. If UNC wins this is a likely preview of a tourney semifinal!

It 31-30 showing on ISU scoreboard.

ISU is has to stay hot. UNC has a big size advantage at the guard positions.

If we hadn't lot Albert, Banis, Webb with injuries I don't think there would have been a team that could compete with us. As it is now it is whatever team shows up hot for that game wins. It is anybody's game.

ISU 64
UNC 59

56 seconds left, ISU is struggling to break UNC press otherwise ISU should win.. Opens the door for the Cats if they can pull out the win.

Great game, the girls showed a lot of heart.

That tournament is going to be a doozy.

The good - defense for the Ladies team has really picked up.

The bad - just having trouble making a few shots early.

The ugly - still love this team but keep wondering what might have been with full roster.

Coach Binford really has done a great job with this program. Hopefully they can get on a roll in the tournament just do the little things well concentrating on boards and defense.

Very disappointing. It's going to be tough to win 3 games in 3 days playing shorthanded like they have been all year, but a fantastic season whatever happens.

Tourney matchups are:

#3 MSU vs. #6 EWU
#4 UM vs. #5 ISU

#1 seed is PSU, #2 is UNC get byes to the semis.

I agree that the ladies have given a gutsy effort this year, and really suffered from the tough luck injuries.

Will there be TV coverage for any of the women's tourney games this year? I seem to recall that the title game was on Altitude last year.

A what if question - if the cats women had won and hosted, isn't there a State HS basketball tournament scheduled for the field house this weekend? If so, what would have happened, ie, where would they have moved the HS tourney?

Thanks

Belgrade would have taken the Class C tournament.
