I heard today that Casey Trueqe is leaving msu to go back to California because of family reasons. It sounded like to me the decision had already been made as soon as the season ended. Also McIntyre will not be back next year because he was not offered a scholarship. From what it sounded like talking to my son today who is friends with both that McIntyre is going to goto a d2 or naia on a scholarship for a year to get bigger and then try and come back asap. Im real dissapointed that Casey wont be back he showed glimpses of brilliance, and after walking into the open practices the cats really could use McIntyre to shoot the 3 ball.
Either way i hope coach huse knows what hes doing. I will try and find out more details

i wont comment specifically on this case because i would be lying if i said i had any particular info. but i said right after our season that we were going to see several players leave, and probably some coaches as well. these two probably wont be the last two to leave either. the talent on the team this year just wasn't there. 2 five foot guards certainly didn't help.....

So, it sounds like Casey is leaving because of family reason...doesn't sound like coach Huse had any say in this decision.

As for McIntyre...I didn't see him play at all (did he redshirt?), however this team was bad last year, and we need to bring in as many new players as possible and offering scholarships to walk ons who were non contributers last year is IMO not the way to increase the talent level. So in this case, yes, I do believe Huse knows what he's doing.

That said, I wish them both the best of luck, and I certainly wouldn't mink seeing McIntyre coming back after a year or two at a JC.

like i said, i have no info on this one whatsoever. so it very well could be family reasons for a player or two leaving. but many times, "family reasons" is a great way to leave a program with little questioning whether it was the players decision, coaches decision, or both.

works the same way when it IS the coaches decision to get rid of a kid. they rather come out and say that they got rid of them. more times they something more PC like it was a mutual decision or something like that.

either way...i don't see these being the last two to move on...

Huse has got to go

Maybe he will go join Krsyko at Utah. Better pay, less stress, and PAC -12 major conference. Be careful what you wish for there are a lot of jobs out there and it is getting very late in the recruiting season.
