BOZEMAN, Mont. – All-state basketball player Danny Desin from Billings has chosen to join the Bobcat basketball program next fall as a walk-on, Montana State coach Brad Huse announced Monday.

A three-year starter at Billings Senior, Desin averaged 14.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.5 assists as a senior. The 6-3 guard earned First Team All-State honors in Class AA as a senior, and was an all-state tournament choice as a junior. He broke Senior’s school record for three-pointers in a game with 10, and connected on 37.5% of his long-range shots this season.

“Danny has a lot of upside and has proven he can shoot the ball,” Huse said. “He needs to continue maturing physically but I like his potential and I know he will be a very good walk-on for us. He’s a great kid and a tremendous student as well. He’ll be a great contributor to our campus.”

In addition to his basketball superlatives, Desin was a three-year starting receiver for Senior’s football team, earning selection to the East-West Shrine Game this summer. He was a four-time Academic All-State choice in both football and basketball. His brother Mark played football at Montana State, as well.
