From the MSU site:
Freshman guard Mike Dison scored a scrimmage-high 26 points to lead the way at Montana State's 2011 Blue-Gold men's basketball scrimmage Tuesday night.

Dison finished 8-for-12 from the field and 5-for-7 from three-point range to lead a 46% shooting effort. Junior college transfers Xavier Johnson-Blount (17 points, 6-for-16 shooting) and Jamie Stewart (14 points, 6-for-10) also added productive nights.

Sophomore forward Tre Johnson scored 12 points with nine rebounds, while senior Jourdain Allou added eight rebounds.

Bobcat coach Brad Huse was pleased with his team's effort. “It's about what I expected,” said MSU's sixth-year head coach. “We had really good energy early and the execution was good. But when fatigue set in, and that happened earlier than I'd hoped, things got sloppy.”

Redshirt freshman center Blake Brumwell added scored six points with five rebounds. Junior college transfer Mo Fall grabbed six boards, as did Shawn Reid, who also scored 13 points.

The Bobcats play Colorado Christian in an exhibition game in Bozeman on November 5.

Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

And from the Chronicle:
There was some miscommunication.

There were some missed shots.

There were a couple "wow, that was impressive" plays.

To summarize, Montana State's first official live action of the 2011-2012 season was "kind of about what I expected," according to men's basketball head coach Brad Huse.

The Bobcats held their Blue & White scrimmage Tuesday night at Worthington Arena in front of a small crowd and, as Huse and his players noted, came out a little less sharp than they hope to be on game days.

Several players switched between the blue and white teams after each quarter of play, as did the coaching staff, in a mix-and-match effort to see who works well with whom.

In addition, both sides knew each play - offensively and defensively - which made for a handful of steals, contested shots and threading the needle passes towards the basket. In the end, MSU had 19 assists and 15 steals. Each team won two of four quarters: White 16-14, 1st; 11-8, 3rd; Blue 27-21, 2nd, 18-16, 4th.

"It was just a little test playing against each other," senior point guard Rod Singleton said. "We all know each other's tendencies and stuff, but we just tried to put it in a game-type simulation.
