Won. Barely 64-61. WSU came in 2-14. I think I will quit starting game threads.

I think that women's team is in trouble this year. Lots of turnovers, not very aggressive. The talent is there to win the conference but they look like they are going out expecting to cruise to wins and this conference is too tough for that.

Missed enough point blank shots to last a season.

What is it about MSU basketball and making shots lately? The whole program (men's and women's) are a bunch of headcases.

What college invented the fast break? I'll bet Tom Storm, Jack Gillespie, Kermit Young, Larry Chanay, Cat, could tell you why. Frontier Conference and a Boise State coach that won't let their babies run. Would love to see Tony Hampton, the Ferch kids, Fellows and Damako allow Starner (heh) to keep diminishing both teams ability to run like a Tarkanian team...run, baby run and if you get put on the bench, watch the next bunch run again. It's psychological. We don't have poor ball players on either team--just coaches that don't think they are any good so they want Big East goon ball played.

Well, it is fun to watch this team and I figure that they will be more competitive in the Big Sky than the men's team. However, if we continue to play like we did these past two home games, there is no way that MSU will even finish in the top 3, much less compete for the title.

The team has lost its aggressiveness and just seems lost much of the time on offense. In the 2nd half our girls seem to be playing "scared," or "not to lose." I can only imagine what that will turn into once they start going on the road to play tough teams. Hope they turn it around. They do have the potential, because we saw it earlier in the season. The games against CO State and especially Utah State were examples of what this team is capable of.
