Today, it just seemed like a lot of our shots were not falling and during one stretch everything that EWU threw up went in. The bottom line is, our girls fought to the end. I noted that several of EWU's key players are seniors. We only have one senior on the entire squad.

I say let's keep supporting these hard-playing Bobcats and see what happens down the trail.

One thing is for certain: the future of this team is very bright. If we don't get it done this year, then look out for next year. I hope Coach Binford continues to bring in such bright talents as our true frosh Jackie Elliot and Kalli Durham. After today's very disappointing and tough loss, our young ladies came out to sign autographs and they were as bright and cheerful as you could hope for, which you could tell just how bad they felt about losing the game.

It was great to see such a long line of kids getting the autographs. This is a team full of character. It makes me so proud to be a Bobcat.

It's a safe bet to say MSU won't shoot that poorly the rest of the season. Montana State was 1-for-20 from 3-point range. Eight different girls went 0fer. That's not going to happen again, or at least it's very unlikely.

That being said, Eastern is the best team in the league. I was more impressed with EWU than first place Idaho State. Brianne Ryan (No. 20 for those who watched) is the real deal. She moves without the ball as well as any girl I've seen this season. She can get good shots with crazy frequency.

Next week is the biggest week on the schedule for MSU. The Cats play at ISU Thursday, then it's Cat-Griz Saturday. Stay tuned.

I agree....I saw us play ISU and we had them beat by 16 points until we just went cold and they couldn't miss. We also missed a bunny at the buzzer that would have won the game.

Eastern just beat us with efficiency , poise , physicality, and confidence. They looked like an upper division team against us today. Our girls were throwing the ball up and hoping it would go in....they were also throwing it away with some frequency too! We need to run and push the ball to play our game...when we play efficient and take care of the ball it's a beautiful thing....when the other team knocks us around and knocks us off the ball and gets in our face we can look like the Keystone Cops!
