best player on the MBB team---- Dison

If there is one area to be optimistic about this team/season/future, it is Dison. Not saying he is the best player on the team right now, but definitely the player on the team with the most potential to be something special.

When he came into the game against the Griz, I thought he looked better then anyone else for the Cats. The guy plays with a ton of energy, he looks confident, has a nice shot, and he is frickin lightning quick! Reminds me of when Will Cherry was a freshman for the Griz, you could just see that he was going to be REALLY good, I see the same thing with Dison.

Hate to rag on Singleton, but I dont know why Dison has not been starting all year.

I believe the announcer said he was the 5A player of the year in Texas! Holy crap, if that is true, wow. Reminds me of a basketball version of McGhee. Probably wasn't recruited by bigger schools because he is smaller... If Huse is smart he will start building the program around this guy... just my two cents.

He definitely brings some energy. Id like to see him become more consistent as he gains experience. I really liked how he played last night.

Not sure id compare him to cherry though. Maybe offensively, but defensively mike is no where near where cherry was as a frosh.

That said if mike works his ass off like cherry has, he could be a very good guard in this league.

Imagine if you had Johnson and Fall getting the defensive rebound and out-letting to a full throttle Dison with Reid and Moon or Budnich filling the lanes...
And on defense using the 1-3-1 trap full and half court? Dison and Johnson would flourish. However, that is not the style of play we will ever have with this coach. It's not the Larry K program that he has always followed. It would be a lot more entertaining and I think fit our personnel better... but it ain't gonna happen before 2013-14. I agree. Dison is the biggest talent on this team.

Dison was impressive with the dribble and is very quick, reminds me of the MSU guards from the 80's/early 90's Ray Willis (pretty sure he came from Texas) and Alonzo.
Dison would have thrived in the up tempo Cat offense back then. Looks like he will have to be content with running the Hickory High ball control game when he gets the chance.
