UM and Weber will be the favorites again next year. The best we can expect for next year is 3rd, more likely 4th or 5th.[cat_bracket] wrote:With Reid, Blount, Fall, Dison, Johnson, Moon, Budinich and Bigelow (possibly Stewart) all coming back there's no reason we can't be near the top of the pack next season. That's a lot of talent and doesn't include the three freshmen, who also look good. Nine players, four seniors. Fall, Blount and Moon will all be seniors. Stewart would be a senior too. Those nine guys have up-tempo written all over them. Time for the coaching staff to step up and mold these guys into the team they can be. Barring a bunch of injuries or academic or off-court issues this is as talented a team as there is in the Big Sky.
No question WSU and UM will be picked to win by the media and coaches. If Huse can't get this team to at least a third place finish, well, then I'm afraid he needs to be shown the door. This is a team that should win all of its home league games and more than half of its road league games. I think its a 20-game schedule, so I expect a 15-5 finish or better.wbtfg wrote:UM and Weber will be the favorites again next year. I agree that we have a good, athletic teaming coming back, but I think Huse will continue to run a slow it down half court offense that doesn't utilize our quickness and speed at all.
If we're 15-5 next year, and Huse is the head coach. I will buy you copious amounts of alcohol.[cat_bracket] wrote:No question WSU and UM will be picked to win by the media and coaches. ^^ This. Every time I watch the Cats on bigskytv I wonder, with the talent they have, why the hell they are running the slow offense they run. It's weird...wbtfg wrote:I agree that we have a good, athletic teaming coming back, but I think Huse will continue to run a slow it down half court offense that doesn't utilize our quickness and speed at all.
