Binford adds a post player
Binford has added a high school post to her 2013-14 roster. Michaela Carew a 6-2 (MSU lists her at 6-1 but everything I read has he at 6-2) a forward/ center from Seattle Prep high school joined the team and is listed on the current MSU roster. Carew averaged 14 points, 10 rebounds and 3 blocks per game last season and was named 1st team All 3A Metro league. She lead Seattle Prep into the State 3A Tourney where they made it to the championship game before losing to Cleveland High School but went away with 2nd place finish WA State 3A Tourney. Now earlier in the year (January or so) I had heard the Bobcat's were trying to get her to walk-on but she was balking because she really wanted a scholarship. She really had a great second half of her season after over coming a ankle sprain injury so I am not sure if she is a walk-on or earned a scholarship. Keep an eye on Seattle Prep they have a really nice guard who also scored in double figures last year who should get plenty of D-1 interest this year.
