No big press conference or anything like the football team with their new uniforms-but here they are:
Nice use of the new "M".

This thread just shows that our bball program has devolved to the point where most of their mentions on bn are in the punchline of a joke.

Seems to be a couple uniform number changes...Egwuonwu from #4 to #11, F. Davis from #15 to #0. Freaked me out for a second, I thought we had another year with 3/4 of the team consisting of new players! The side shots of the uniforms are pretty awesome, love the striped look. Also surprised to not see an obvious Under Armour logo anywhere on the front of the uniform.

I don't really like that look. It would be fine to put the M on the sides of the shorts or something...in fact I think that would look great. But I'm sort of a traditionalist. I think the front of the uniform should say Montana State or Bobcats, rather than having just the M.

At the risk of making Truecat angry, I'll suggest that Under Armor might not want an obvious association with that particular ball club.

I agree! I am hoping the road jerseys say Montana State. Otherwise this is another fail in a line of failures with this new logo change. I have yet to see anything done well with it.

NCAA rules might prohibit the use of a manufacturers logo on the jersey for basketball. I don't know for sure since I don't officiate that level of basketball. Just this year the NFHS (National Federation of High Schools) basketball rules committee allowed high school uniform tops to have a 2.5 inch logo.

MSU got a mention in the annual college basketball uniform preview article on ESPN. The comment by the author Paul Lukas:
"Extreme makeover of the year honors go to Montana State, which has -- well, see for yourself. Wow!"
Here is a link to the full article, which is worth a read if for no other reason than to check out some of the truly bizarre court designs teams are using this year. I definitely think MSU did the right thing with theirs!
