Good timing for Colter's interview today. Intriguing minds(and Aussies) want to know some details on the departures of DeWitt and Allen.

It is always tough to lose someone. We lose football players every year, but with the numbers we don't pay quite as much attention to them.

Apparently downunder has an agenda against Binford. Only other post consisted of one word in regards to Binford's raise. "Overpaid" :-({|=

Binford has been getting a pass for years since the focus has been on MBB. The program has had numerous players leave and she is roughly .500 as a head coach here.

I have watched a lot of Lady Bobcat games over the years and I'm just not a Binford fan. I'm still mad at Frank!

Yeah…there are lots of players who have left, and several who were going to but decided to stick it out.

Most of the players aren't a fan of Binford.

So how does Selvig do it? It always seems like he is constantly screaming and is tough on his players, yet they all not only stick it out, they all speak well of him once they are finished. I sure would like to know how he does this and how it is different from Binford. Does Delvig just recruit tougher girls, both mentally and physically?

The 2 hours we see a coach on the sideline is about 2% of the time we see a coach/player relationship. What happens the other 98% is where the relationship grows or fails.

I agree.....why do our post players defect to Billings? I know Chelsea Banis went the way of Devereaux..to go to graduate school.....but De Witt was only a sophomore....and what was the true story on Emily Allen? Who do we have coming in that is a post presence?

Has anyone actually confirmed this? Or is this just some kind of silly rumor?

If it is indeed true and she is transferring to a D II program, then yes, someone
needs to get on this to determine what the @#$% is going on.

Really, it sounds so crazy and unbelievable, that I'm not buying this unless
someone with MSU makes it official.

It's official. Binford confirmed today. She said DeWit said she couldn't handle the grind and mental commitment of Division I. She said DeWit isn't going anywhere yet and doesn't know if she'll play again or where.

Binford said it was a surprise DeWit left and praised her play quite a bit in our interview today. She had a lot of good things to say about her and, as you all indicated, knew she could have played a key role next season and into the future.

CRAP.........!how come we can't get a break! I guess the life of a college athlete isn't for everyone. Why does it always have to be the big people! Like O linemen and post players! now I suppose it'll take a couple of years to develop another 1

Kayla is not leaving b/c she can' t handle D1, she is leaving to seek out other playing options in a different type of coaching environment. She's a solid player and has every intention of continuing her collegiate career but just in a different location. Kayla's mental fortitude, competitive drive and playing ability are not lacking by any means. I am sure this was a tough decision but sometimes players have to consider other options. Kayla will be an asset to whatever team she ends up playing with and a huge loss for the Cats.

I agree completely. I liked Kayla game alot and enjoyed interviewing her the few times I did. I'm just repeating what Binford said as the reason why she left.
