Cats try to put together a two game win streak with today's road game at UIW in San Antonio. No video today due to UIW hosting a football playoff game Tuned in to Zack Mackey on the radio with my second cup of coffee from Palmer, Alaska where it is a balmy -10 degrees this morning.

Cats lead 15-4 early in the contest bolstered by Tyler Patterson's 9 early points from behind the arc on perfect 3-3 shooting.

Sprinkle giving lots of minutes to Nick Gazeles. Isn't he from down there somewhere? He hasn't hit anything all season. Hopefully he gets going.
I'm sure this early lead will get blown. It's our M.O. We'll need to build another one.

38-22 we're up at the half. Threes are raining down. Tyler Patterson has 12 points on 4 threes. UIW was picked near the bottom of the Southland Conference pre-season poll, but this is a true road game and those are never easy.

Halftime Score: Cats 38 UIW 22 ..... Bobcats shot 8-14 from behind the arc, for a 57% rate!!!

UIW's head coach Carson Cunningham had a really good run at Carroll College. Their roster is mostly freshmen. Only two upper classmen. Must be in the midst of a rebuild?

Cats up 67-43 with 9 minutes left. Dare I say this lead might be unblowable??? Or did I speak too soon.

too many turnovers, but it's just players trying to make the extra pass when it's not quite there. McMahon is a vacuum cleaner on the defensive boards-had a nice little shift out there. Gazales back in, I'm guessing he's got some family at the game? He's from Humble, Texas.

One of the reasons those threes are there is because of Belo. He attracts a lot of attention.

Cats win 83-64. Never blew the lead! That's a great step for this team. We'll play SEMO (Southeast Missouri) tomorrow to close out this tournament.

Nice win!!! Now it's minus 11 degrees in Palmer. Great watching the stream and listening to Zack Mackey. Living vicariously through the guys being in San Antonio--about a 70 degree difference.

Very nice win. Can't wait to watch this team play in the Brick.
