I think our team would rather be somewhere else tonight. This is bad basketball!

I can't believe with the Cats size they have such a bad inside game. I hate this offense.

Can’t pass very sloppy with ball and can’t make any shots…will not block out at all

In other words, can't play basketball.

I hope this is a season low and everything’s up from here

Carroll took Idaho State to OT yesterday and now MSU squeaks out a 1-point win in double OT against MSU-B. Kind of puzzling as I thought the Bobcats looked good against Sac State on Saturday. Hopefully just a letdown game.

This has been an odd season....Cats should have won by 20 tonight, but shooting has been atrocious. Give credit to MSUB, they hit some big 3's....they're a good team.
Hope the Cats can turn things around...they've got a lot of talent on this squad and once the shots begin to drop, they'll make a run.

Sometimes this team plays like a bunch of rabid ferrets. And not in a good way.

Just unreal. Not sure what has happened to the ladies this year.

Yes, the CATS shooting was bad. MSUB shot well. So lucky to have picked up a W tonight. Only real positive may have been winning on the boards.

I was going to mention the same thing…what’s going on with the presumed Big Sky leaders…ISU and MSU….both taken to wire by DII teams. I also thought at the Sac State game the ladies looked like they were starting to gel…..but boy oh boy after tonight….. don’t know what to say.

Also Idaho, who lost by 22 to Southern Utah in its conference opener. The Big Sky appears to be a wide open race this year as the preseason favorites aren't playing any better than many of the teams picked to finish much lower.

I’ve always said that it’s a bad idea to play in a building called “The Brick”.

Like happens many times in a game like this there was a lot of incidental and unplanned and planned contact. The closeup replays on TV showed players like Ashley Van Sickle being used as ping pong balls with the officials standing benevolently observing. No foul was left un-fouled. No brick was left un-laid-up.

The Lady Cats didn't look all that sharp tonight.
If they were thinking that Saturday's game against Utah Valley was going to be easy they better think again.
Utah Valley beat the lady grizz tonight 63 - 50.
I like how these underdog teams are putting up some real fight this year.

That’s an impressive result. I do think it is somewhat of a mental hurdle for MSU and UM (and the Big Sky) to have to open conference play and get all fired up for that — and then it’s not. Conference ball always raises the competitive fire and this sort of douses it. Even to fans. The crowd looked a bit light tonight and it was hard on TV to tell how noisy they were. Half of things are 90% mental, or something like that.

The scary part is that "half of things are 90% mental" makes complete sense to me.
My explanation is this: If half of things are 90% mental and another half of things is 90% physical you have identified the source of 90% of the whole thing.
The remaining 10% comes from unidentifiable sources. The ability to tap into and use those unidentifiable sources is what separates the achiever from the over achiever.
