Nice video! Hopefully by the end of the year there will be a lot more highlights than mistakes to break down.

Excellent. I was going to dig into some analysis but now I see the opportunity to “pass the buck”!

You mention the low 3 point shooting percent so far this year on the discussion of early season Bobcat woes. Have you looked at the Big Sky conference in total to see if the “beyond the arc” percentages are down across the board? Are the best teams shooting at the same pace as best teams from last couple years from the arc? Are the individual conference leaders still up to the level of last couple years?

The reason I ask is that this year the 3 point line was moved back about 1 and a half feet (1’ 4 3/4” for us exacto engineering types) to match the mens 3 point line. Perhaps toward mid-season you can do some analysis to see if that has had a material impact and another at year end to see if the ladies have adapted to the longer range.

Sometimes you get old cronies, like me, that don’t have Twitter or Instagram and barely know how to use anything beyond a rotary dial phone! But I know that is my problem! Just sayin’….

Great question BobcatDel.

We will take a look and get that answer in comparison to the percentages as soon as we complete our upcoming player profile.

BobCatDel,

Did some digging all the way back to 2010-11 when the women's line was still at 19'9 through the start of this year. In 2011-12 it was moved to 20'9 and then this year to the international distance.

We will put together some info and share it on my website. According to Synergy and their stats, this year the BSC schools are shooting a combined 30.73% which is not much different than the previous year when the BSC schools shot a combined 30.9%...individual numbers are where we see the biggest difference. This years top shooters are shooting at a way higher clip than any other year we looked at.

The year is early...imagine these numbers will level out.

Thanks for the question. We enjoyed looking back at the numbers.
