What a game, didn't look good at all when ISU went on that 22-3 run but credit the team for hanging in there and making some huge plays down the stretch. Given the history I find wins against ISU equally satisfying as wins against the Griz in WBB.

We were just cruising in that second quarter, but had some players in foul trouble-so coach went deep with some reserves and they just flat ran out of gas. That led to ISU's big run. But the tables turned in the 4th quarter when ISU's entire front line fouled out-bang, bang, bang. Darian White was having a crazy tough night offensively, but started getting to the line in the 4th quarter. Then Ashley Van Sickle and Darian White hit two of the most cold blooded three pointers I've ever seen. Van Sickle's got us the lead and White with the shot clock almost out and ISU daring her to take it-swish! It can't ever be easy against ISU-it's just not allowed. Great win!

That's when a time out should have been called. I don't know why Binford didn't.
A game against ISU is always a physical and mental battle. Seton has no problem winning ugly. So this was a great win.
Tied with SUU for first in the BSC. SUU hasn't played the top teams due to Covid postponements. They got crushed by the Vandals tonight and I suspect will fall quickly as they play the top teams.
Reffing was just bad tonight; both ways. MSUs depth kept players from fouling out.
Next up a revenge game against Weber. I'm predicting a big win.

Only need one shot at SUU to take over the lead, right?

The two female officials last night have always made my blood boil.
- Indecisive
- Often out of position
- Inconsistent.
- Blow the damn whistle so everyone can hear it!!
Awful last night both ways.

Question here regarding fouls committed vs shots: looks like we had 20, ISU had 22 but we shot 14-15 more FTs. Why the big discrepancy?
And thank goodness...

ISU has been exploited a bit on the inside this year. They don’t have quite the toughness on the inside as last years championship team. If you happened to see some of the Sac State game where Sac State beat ISU, they just took it inside all day. My opinion is that Coach was trying to exploit that last night….we weren’t as successful as Sac State but we did try to get it inside a lot and when we did they would collapse the defense often resulting in a foul and often in a shooting situation. Of course Darian did her thing pushing it on the drives to the bucket which also often drew a foul. That’s just my opinion from what I saw…..

The 3 ladies that fouled out for them played most of the game at a 4 or 5 spot. Of course we had a couple ladies in foul trouble too.

As a side note….if you listened to the post game interview on the radio, the SID pointed out to Coach Bin that the Bobcat ladies have the 5th best FT shooting percentage in the nation behind Iowa, Iowa State, Murray State and another school he didn’t remember. So shooting FTs is a good thing! Hope we didn’t just jinx them……

Idaho State committed mostly shooting fouls.
Edit: I didn't see the posts that followed your question. Sorry for being redundant.

These ladies can be lots of fun to watch with their effort from starters and bench along with hot shooting right now. They can also be frustrating, like when they make so many poor passes and let the other team drive the baseline so often.
When Kola got fouled but no call at 9:10 3rd quarter I yelled loud enough my wife came to see what was up.
Thank goodness Idaho's Whitman missed as many layups as she did.
Looking forward to Saturday's game. Go Cats!
