Why even do this if you're not going to put in the work. The Cats are 20-5 on a 11 game tear, 1st in the conference and they think DeCuire is the coach of the year... what a rag.

Come on now guys, that was a hell of a coaching job by DeCuire to rebound from his 20-point loss to Idaho State for a big home split against NAU and PSU.

Sprinkle will win the real award unless there's a major collapse over the last three weeks.

Yeah, after looking at that blurb on why coach DeCuire is being considered as coach of the year I took a look at records last year and this year.
Last season coach Sprinkle ended conference play at 8- 6 PCT .571 Coach DeCuire ended 7-9 PCT .438
This season coach Sprinkle in conference play is at 12-2 PCT .857 Coach DeCuire is at 10-5 PCT .667
Last season Sprinkle ended conference season in 4th this season is currently sitting at 1st
Last season DeCuire ended conference season in 6th this season is currently sitting in 5th
Either they are bad at math or they are basing their opinion on the fact that coach DeCuire is doing so much better at retaining players this year than he did last year. Was it 6 players that quit him during the season last year?
Hopefully Sprinkle gets his guys to finish out the season well including that gauntlet of the last 4 games.

I respect the hell out of Decuire. I love the way he carries himself and represents their program. No snark here, i think he's a good coach. But to say he's coach of the year in this league this year is both ignorant and lazy. He's not, this year.
