Cat/Griz

Well I'm bored and there are no MSU games tonight so figured I'd get this going.
The Griz men are really struggling as of late losing 4 of their last 6 but still have only lost once at home, but that was to a subpar NAU squad just 3 games ago. Griz will be tough at home but I think we are the better team and we watch up relatively well with this iteration of the Griz. This game I believe will be the first and only ESPNU Big Sky game, so it will be kind of cool to see how that production is. Cats will be rested Saturday, Griz play at SUU tonight.
The story is similar for the Lady Griz who have lost 4 of their last 7, including a brutal loss at Idaho on Monday. Lady Cats have had their ups and downs but still remain in 1st place and have owned the LG since Selvig retired. Again the Lady Cats will be rested while the Lady Griz play at home against SUU tonight.
I like the Cats in both of these but playing in Missoula is always tough. Both Griz teams are desperate for a win and both Cat teams need a win to stay in 1st place, which is a pretty awesome place to be heading into March - we are truly in a great era of Bobcat athletics right now!

I agree....I like our chances in both games, but always hard to predict, especially the games in Missoula.

Just like football it’s a toss up, Griz feel like they’re on a free fall on both sides, but rivalry games can’t be predicted. Fortunately with the tough ending schedule the men have, they have wiggle room to drop a game, obviously not ideal, but have to balance finishing the season strong and being fully healthy and rested for the conference tournament. Women’s side aren’t as fortunate, tied for 1 they have a little more pressure on these games.
Also super excited for ESPNU, given MSU is the team projected for the tournament right now, I think they’ll get eyes from national media they wouldn’t usually. Let’s hope we show out!

It's gonna be tough. Jubrile Belo has two fouls and the game hasn't even started yet.

I'm thinking the women will roll. Men should win as well but likely much closer than the women's score.

Yep, rivalry games are always tough, especially away. The men's game will be a battle the entire game but I like the Cats. The women have beat the gris for so long that it is now a mental hurdle for the lady gris. I think the women play a close game until late in the 3rd and then the Cats depth allows them to pull away.

And Robbie Hauck just got credited for two more tackles. Coincidence??

Well the Griz looked like they may have got their mojo back against SUU... for a half. Then they proceeded to be outscored by 24 in the 2nd half en route to an 8 point loss, in a game they were winning by 16 at halftime.

Moe Joe may have left the gym. I hope he stays gone over the weekend. Rivalry games are so weird.

Aged better than mine did. I thought our ladies would roll. Had no reason to think otherwise. But sports are sports. Good win by the lady gris.

Yeah, let’s out it on ESPNU so we can’t watch the first part of the game.
Horse hockey.
Put it on the same platform everyone game.

Total BS we can't watch on ESPN+ while we are waiting for Temple and Tulane to stop fouling and end their game.

May be a long game. Refs are already pulling their nonsense.
