Average Fouls Called Per Game Per Conference

I've thought throughout the year(s) that there seems to be a lot of fouls called in the Big Sky. As far as I know there isn't an easy way to find this data - you can find fouls per team but you'd have to manually compile that data and then figure it out by conference and I just didn't have the energy or time. Well I found a fast easy way to get this data this morning and here are the rankings based on average fouls called per game per team, and then averaging those averages by conference (there are 32 D1 conferences):
#1 WAC 18.93 (have fun SUU)
#2 MEAC 18.45
#3 Southland 18.37
#4 SWAC 18.1
#5 Big Sky 18.01
Those are the only 5 conferences that are above 18 fouls per game. The ACC calls the fewest, 15.25 fouls per game.
Just something to chew on.

Super interesting. I feel like
@Colter_Nuanez should tweet this out for the conference officials to see....
I don't know how many times i've yelled "let them play!" at the tv.

Generally I yell that when the foul is on us. Not so much the other way around.

I feel like BSC refs do whistle a lot, but I also watch a lot of Zag games and the WCC refs seem just as bad.

Boy, they sure let them play (women) in the tournament. All these games were VERY physical.

Yep, Kola will have some bruises after these three days. To be fair, today's refs did call it pretty consistently on both ends.

I know I am very biased, but I thought the refs really favored NAU in their 2nd half run. It was like they were told we have to get this game more competitive for ESPN. We got literally no calls in that stretch and they started calling some ticky-tack fouls on us.
