MBB vs. Omaha

It seems we have played Omaha more than any other non conference opponent the past 5-6 years. They bring a 3-7 record into this afternoons game. They did beat Idaho in November at home. Their leading scorer, 11.2ppg, and rebounder, 5.6rpg, is standout sophomore Frankie Fidler. The 6'7" forward
is from Bellevue Nebraska. Espn says there is a 90 percent chance MSU wins. Hope it is a quality game, and we get the win.

really liking the defensive effort. This game makes me wish we were in conference play, because it makes the games more important, and this one is almost boring. thankfully we are on the winning side.

Decent crowd but every was a bit tired, it seemed. Not sure why.

Team defense and movement to the ball were better than the last game I attended.

Also good at challenging passing lanes.

Solid effort, got them down and didn’t let them come back like Thur.

Lots of talent on this team.

Nice to see MSU getting comfortable wins these last two home games against teams that are probably quite comparable in terms of talent level to most of the Big Sky opponents they'll be facing when the games really matter. I was a little concerned after they went 0-3 on the Canada trip but not so much now!

Yeah, I was beginning to wonder if this team didn't have the hunger to defend their Big Sky titles from last season. Comfortable wins against North Dakota, St. Thomas, and Omaha, plus a road win at SUU after a long road trip makes me feel a little better. Our best win was at Long Beach while some other Big Sky teams are knocking off Pac-12 teams-which has me concerned. But league is a different animal with the heavy scouting that takes place compared to the non-conference season. I think we'll be okay.

Did we have some illness or something going on during Canadian trip. We had one good game we let get away and a couple we really didn't look good.

Best way to look at it is Cal is not a pac 12 basketball team. They may be in the conference but they’re one of the worst teams in America. Portland State will be a good team but we have the size and athleticism to run with them. Up to us how bad we want to repeat!
