Should be a good test tonight, St. Mary's is 6-3 and ranked #109 in the RPI. Go Cats!

Strong start for the ladies, up 12-2 on 3 3pt and a traditional 3 pt play.

The bench has been shortened a bit. Olson & Hughes are not dressed out. I can’t see Ranson anywhere. The fewer to rotate, the better a Binford team plays.

MSU is cruising 48-30 closing in on midway through the 3rd quarter.

64-35 now. Not a great few days for Marys playing in Bozeman.

Wow! That was how you play the game! Best game against great competition I’ve seen at the Brick in years! Go kick LSU’s Ass!

Good one!

KJ had 21-all from behind the arc. She's a streaky shooter, but if she's on like that the Bobcats aren't going to lose too many. Beattie was also hitting. I don't know what it was. St. Mary's just beat Boise State in overtime a couple of days ago, but they really didn't look like they wanted to be here. Heavy legs I guess. Meanwhile, the Bobcats were super fresh. St. Mary's made a little run in the second quarter to get it back to 10 points, but then Jackson and Beasley brought some energy and it was never close after that. The third quarter was a layup clinic.

I feel like both our basketball teams are starting to find their form. Now time for finals.

Great win and what a fun style of ball they played. I think a lot of fans had hopes that this team could be this dominant.

I think the ups and downs of the preseason are mostly a result of Binford playing so many players in varied lineups to see what works. In the long run, when conference play starts, she knows what works, who plays well together, and can utilize the whole bench. This has been a winning formula for conference championships. The only downside is when it comes to bracketing of the NCAA tournament, the Cats have some bad OOC loses.

With the way they played tonight, I am anxious to see how they do against LSU.

Great win and they looked dominant. I think using the bench will benefit them in the long run. Wishing they could use Lindsey more as her height and size will help. Grace looked amazing and super athletic. The team looked tough.

Well, it was cold and snowing last night and I almost didn't go. Glad I did. The Lady Cats had not played for about ten days and it was obvious that they were HUNGRY to get it done on both ends of the court, plus shooting, plus assists. A dominant performance against a team that had some quality wins. I was glad to see Lindsey in the game, but here's my fan coach speak: Given her size and strength, I wish a good post player or coach could simply work with her on offensive moves when she receives the ball deep in the post. Heck, just copy the moves that Lexi Deden has. When Lindsey receives the ball, rather than immediately throw it back out, take it to the hole. I know you can do it Lindsey!!

I think they will in time. I see the same thing you do on Lindsey….she’d get the ball and a couple times she had a clear path to the hoop with a little spin move….or a time or two she had a height mismatch…..and I was saying to myself to “take it to the hoop Lindsey!”. Then I remember she is a redshirt freshman, still coming off foot surgery last year so not sure where she is with the extent of her recovery and what coach wants her to do right now. Then I chuckle to myself because I remember Blair Braxton and Madeline Smith their freshman years and how the coach grew them until they were seniors…hoping to see the same growth in Lindsey!

I wondered what fired the players up so much. I think I would keep this "mental performance coach" on retainer!

Too bad dUMb can't afford to do so. But then again, they're so full of themselves over there in Missoula and just how great they all are (in their own minds, that is), that they get a refugee from the PAC-12 that can't coach at all. Of course, what was there beforehand was nothing but a tragic joke. And they still haven't accomplished a damn thing yet, in over forty years. ](*,)

Not really. What kind of coaching directs/allows players to go charging into a defense of three to four opponent players, trying to make a frigin' lay-up from twenty feet out, head down, not knowing where anyone else is, charging into a muck up of nonsense when they can easily do a pull up jumper? Ending up otherwise flat on their face? Risking injury in the process. Rank amateurs when it comes to the coaching profession. I guess you get what you pay for over there in Missoula; which is nothing, evidently.

Pride always blinds the fallen. Pride of being associated to the PAC-12 and the subsequent egoism that attends it, over all others. Same pile of ****** that Shannon C. had, pass it around the perimeter and live and die by the trey. Anything else?...tough luck. No offensive schemes whatsoever. The o' pick-and-roll would be a revelation to them over there. A bunch of dead heads.

I've never seen a UM fan refer to the school as "dUMb" like that, and the statement that they haven't accomplished a damn thing in over 40 years? Robin Selvig and his decades of championships might disagree with that. I agree completely that the UM program since he left has been more or less an unmitigated disaster.

I usually catch a LG game or two as the season progresses and in particular leading up to Cat-Gris week. But you certainly have prompted me to try to catch a couple games soon just to see what you are talking about.

But I admit I gotta get this FB thing out of the way so I can focus more on BB….and I hope this FB thing hangs on for a few more weeks.
