Hope the team comes out with some urgency after their uninspiring loss against Idaho.
I fast forwarded through the replay of Thursday night’s game focusing on Beasley. She seemed to be physically lagging and when she was subbed out with about 2 minutes left in the 1st half, the trainer was attending to her at the end of the bench. She did not return for the second half. Although it was hard to tell, I would speculate some sort of illness afflicted her, and not an injury to her body. Whatever happened, I hope she is OK.

Hard to know what's going on behind the scenes....hope the team can re-energize and get the W. It will be difficult to start 0-2 in conference. Eastern appears to be better this year...so the Cats will have to bring they're "A" game.

I both hope and expect the ladies will come out with renewed fire and intensity for this game. Especially Beattie, after getting blanked in the last game she will most likely play like her hair is on fire. Go Leia and go Cats.

Beasley is not suited up. Might be a great opportunity for Philip to impress her Ellensburg fans.

Jackson starts in place of Beattie.
Up 22-4 end of 1st.

Blew a 20 point lead, but then somehow got the win. Looked like a jumbled starting lineup and no Beasley. Maybe some illness going through the team??? Anyway, good to get the win-no matter how you do it.

The Lady Cats looked slow to me tonight. I have to believe there is some sort of bug going player to player. There are a lot
of illnesses going on out there. They blew a 20-point lead because they were able to get a 20-point lead. EWU is a good team.
To beat them in Cheney is a positive. Personally, I loved the starting lineup. Madison Jackson brings so much energy. EWU did not
respond well to that in the 1st quarter. Lexi Deden is just a solid ballplayer. Yes, she makes some stupid turnovers. She needs to
learn to get the ball above the rim on some of her inside moves. She is a key to this team's success.
Overall, a solid win by the Lady Cats.

I stopped the broadcast a few times when they had good looks at our bench. We only had five extra players dressed. Plus Grace in street clothes. That’s 11/15. No sign of Ava Ranson or Mia Hughes — are they even with the team anymore? No Brooke Berry or Mattie Olson. Is there a travel number limit? Or is illness depleting our head count?

Starting with the St. Mary’s game, Ranson has been totally MIA and I, too, have been wondering if she’s still on the team. For that home game, Hughes & Olson were present but not suited up. For the subsequent away games, Olson travelled to Hawaii but didn’t suit up and I don’t think Hughes has made either of the last two road trips. IMHO, the aforementioned three players are clearly at the bottom of the depth chart and not seeing them making road trips wouldn't be unusual.
As for Berry, she will red shirt this year and I don’t think we’ll see her on the bench until the first home game after spring semester begins (just like Beasley last winter).

A milestone indeed. A huge amount of work in recruiting, coaching, mentoring, traveling goes into each of those wins. Congratulations, Coach Binford. That must be the record at MSU for Men’s or women’s basketball.

What makes it doubly impressive is the very poor state of the WBB program when Binford was hired.

True story. I was a fan all that time, and after Judy Spoelstra left, absolutely nothing was done right or went right for that program. There were two terrible coaching hires, and only one good coach and he managed to show himself the door. Coach Binford presented a plan at her interview, and not just words. She won me over. And she’s stayed true to her plan and is reaping the rewards. As are we, the fans. I’m sure happy Darian didn’t jump into a transfer portal website.

The Hughes siting in street clothes at a home game would point toward injury or illness. Is it possible that Olson would be a redshirt? With Berry, I forgot that school hadn’t started yet, what with conference play starting. That accounts for everyone but Ranson. I hope she is still a ‘Cat and is physically okay — she did pretty well last year when injuries put her into the rotation, but I suspect defense has been holding her back. It’s interesting to count noses, but I always feel a bit uneasy when someone goes missing.

Olson was injured a couple weeks ago….I spoke to her when she was leaving one of games. That being said, I haven’t been to a practice to know if she is still hurt or redshirting as you mentioned.
