NAU will end up at or near the bottom of the conference this year but they'll get a few home wins against better opponents like they did last night. Playing in Flagstaff tough in any sport, just ask the football guys!

Saw that. Not sure if NAU was just going through a slump and isn't really that bad of a team, or if the Griz really are just a very bad team.
Great time to be a BOBCAT!

Re: MBB @ NAU
NAU is in any game where Jalen Cone is hot. Our strategy will be to start guarding him in the parking lot. Brown and Ford will have their hands full. Gazelas and Battle will probably get a turn too.

Starting to look like the gris are that bad or the Cats are that good.

Can't make up my mind as to which is better - 55-21 or 48-14, but 34-11 will do.

They are good. Refreshing change.

We aren't going to have any bigs left soon. Foul trouble big time.

The NAU lead play by play guy is awesome. The color guy is good too. I rank this team in a tie with Joe Cravens, who is also a personal favorite of mine, even though I know some people don't get him.

Feels like we're holding on for dear life with 8:30 to go. That's a long time to hold on.

Re: MBB @ NAU
Mitch Strohman is the best in the league. Only road PBP guy I'll keep the sound up on.

Great win, road sweeps are not easy to come by regardless of opponent. Can we get Tyler Patterson to shoot like this every week? Go Cats!

Damn. Two road wins by double digits and absolutely demolishing the lines. I hope someone here is betting on these guys and cashing in.
I was more bummed about the loss to EWU than the football loss to SDSU.

@BelgradeBobcat @Cledus to two of our Bobcat Basketball informed posters - can you give us your big sky power rankings? I would have the Eags and then MSU and Sac in that order but after that I’m a bit fuzzy.

I really haven't paid much attention to any of the teams MSU hasn't played. It's especially tough with so many players transferring in and out. Almost every roster has had so much turnover except MSU and EWU.Common Cat wrote: ↑Sat Jan 07, 2023 5:57 pm@BelgradeBobcat @Cledus to two of our Bobcat Basketball informed posters - can you give us your big sky power rankings? I have blue and gold glasses, but I still think MSU is going to come out on top. All we had to do was not miss half of our free throws to beat them and couldn't get it done on that night. EWU is very good though. Their big guards are a matchup problem. Notice Rober Ford hardly played in that game because he couldn't matchup against them. I think Darius Brown is just starting to find his groove and Belo and Osobor haven't put back-to-back good games together yet and I think they will.
I'll say-just for fun:
MSU
EWU
Weber State
Sac State
montana
Portland State
Idaho State
Idaho
NAU
Northern Colorado
(the bottom 4 could be in any order). UNC might be better, but they didn't look good at all against us on Thursday.

Not sure what in the world happened to UNC given that they returned a decent chunk of their players from last year. They looked awful against MSU and are just as bad against UM.

Looks like I vastly underestimated ISU. They're beating up Weber State pretty good in Ogden.
