How sweep it is!

Wonderful. And my Columbus Cougar boys and girls both won District 4B titles last night so I had a damn good day.

If you look at the big picture, it’s pretty crazy how much the cats and Griz athletic programs have flipped places over the last 5-10 years.

-enrollment is not even close, are we double them now? It used to be 50-50 forever. MSU is booming, UM is just trying to keep the doors open.

-football program. As we all know the griz were like NDSU in the early 2000’s, now the Cats are making deep playoff runs every year. Winning the instate recruiting battle. Won 5 of the last 6, etc.

-women’s bball. Back in the selvig days, the lady griz we’re unstoppable. Now it has completely flipped, with the cat’s winning the big sky every year and dominating the rivalry.

-men’s bball…. The program hit such a low point with Huse that I wondered if they could ever recover. Pretty amazing where they are at now. And the griz have just been slowly declining over the last 5 years or so.

It’s a good time to be a Bobcat! Enjoy the ride!

With the exception of volleyball it’s been a great year. Not easy to sweep UM like we did this year.

The Brick was as good of an environment as you can find in mid major college basketball last night. And the guys performed and gave the audience what they wanted. High praise to the team, support staff, announcers, fans, administration and anyone who is anyone in Bobcat Nation.
