Interesting! He is listed on the roster now, 6'11" freshman from California. There are now 16 players on the online roster...I thought the limit was 15 total players and 13 scholarships, but we will see how it all shakes out I guess.

I did not think there was an NCAA limit on the total number of Basketball players (scholarship + Walk-ons), but I am not the end-all expert either. I Googled it and found one person/site saying there was a 15-person limit. I then did a quick survey and I found multiple teams who had 16 or more players for the 22-23 season (including Montana & Weber State) but found only one team (Wahington with 17 players) that had 16 or more players listed on their official roster. That said though not all schools have their complete roster up yet (Montana has only 9 players listed as of today). I know MSU has had 16 and even 17 players on their roster at times in the past, but the rules may have changed. I know at times some athletic departments and/or coaches may put player limits on internally, but as of right now, I am not convinced there is a 15-player limit. Then again I would not bet my house on there was not either.

Gotcha. I suppose as with almost anything involving the NCAA, it's clear as mud.
