Mbb v. Northwest Indian
The outcome of this game probably won't be the issue if you look at previous games against this small school from Bellingham, WA. We should get a good look at what the rotation will look like this season though.
The month of November will be interesting with home games vs. NW Indian, Green Bay, UC Riverside, Long Beach State, & Rocky Mountain College.
Away Games at Seattle U and Cal-Berkeley.
If the guys can protect home court, it could be a nice start to the Coach Logie era at MSU.

Re: Mbb v. Northwest Indian
I'm excited to see the new team in action. I really like Logie's approach to recruiting, team building, and style of play.
We don't appear to have the same ability to play "Barkley ball" the way we have in the past but that presents opportunities for others to more effectively make their contributions to the team. Players returning from last year's team will find the new style freeing and allow them to make greater contributions to team success. All the players express excitement for and commitment to the new system.
I expect this team will play well together, we will have greater depth than recent teams, and we will compete for the conference title.
Can't wait for Monday night!

While registering my vehicles the assessor stated "I have had both Cat and Griz students and alums work for me and the Griz end up working under the direction of the Cats."

100% agree! The style of play the last couple of years has been limited by the lack of off-ball movement of players no longer in the program. Logie seems to have more of a free-playing, wheel and deal style offense that will be high octane where as Sprinkle really dictated the offense by calling set plays on non-fastbreak opportunities. Which I think really benefits this roster and the depth it has. The only thing that concerns me a little is the lack of a “guy” who the offense can rely on to get a bucket. The last few years it’s been JB, Rae, Darius to an extent. Now that those guys aren’t here, who is going to step up and be that “guy” this team can rely on and feed if the going gets tough.thefrank1 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 04, 2023 9:51 amI'm excited to see the new team in action. Game notes with probable starters listed. I don't know if that is accurate, but we will know soon! It lists Brandon Walker as being 6-9 while it seems everywhere else he is said to be 6-7. Also will know once the game begins... So looking forward to getting the ball rolling.

Cats scored 144 points against this team last year. I guess it's a good game to break in a new coach, bunch of new players, and work out the kinks! lol.
Great time to be a BOBCAT!

I'm watching on ESPN+ just fine. 16-16 at the under 12 media, Cats were up 14-2 and then one dude for NW has made 4 straight 3s. Get him in the Transfer Portal!!

Very rusty but you can see the talent is there! Nice to see McMahon back on the court, I think he's going to be a great weapon for MSU.

I know it’s early, but I’m failing to see the hype of Turner 3. Thankfully we’ve got several weeks of non-conference to “get connected” of the likes we heard in all of the pregame.

I usually need to sort by Big Sky Conference to get the MSU games to show up on the list.
NWIC is gassed on defense this half and has to go play in Missoula tomorrow night. Cats looking a lot more fluid on offense this half.

He doesn't look as tall as Patterson if that helps.msu_agfan wrote: ↑Mon Nov 06, 2023 3:30 pmhttps://msubobcats.com/documents/2023/1 ... s_NWIC.pdf

I feel like we settled for a lot of threes early. Good to see them going to the rim in the second half.

103-63 is the final. Second half much better than the first, definitely a far different style from what they were running with Sprinkle, Belo, and Osobor last year.

2nd half, agreed much better! Tons of weapons available. Healthy Patty, B Walk looks like he can stretch the floor, RF3 looks good, Lecholat is a rebound hound with serious court vision!
