As a Bobcat fan its hard to watch Danny coach somewhere else after what he did here. Great win for Utah State knocking off the #13 team in country. Great job Darius and Great!

Yep midnight came earlier than we wanted and the carriage turned back into a pumpkin and the horses turned back into mice.
It'll take time but the program will rebuild under coach Logie.

Yeah, I’m happy for him, but man. . . It’s also hard to watch. The lack of parity in resources makes it so hard to ever get good and stay good.
My capitalist instincts hate it but I sort of wish there was a salary cap for college sports that would even things out.

The way he’s coaching USU this year he won’t be there much longer either. His name was garnering national attention last year, but at this point his name will be on the short list of every power 5 and basketball serious school in the country. Hate to see him leave. But like I’ve said before, Logie can coach and will get this rebuilt quick. Just have to let him get his guys rather than digging for transfer portal scraps.

Osobor and Battle would have had the Cats damn near a defeated season. Would have been an 12 or better a seed and legit chance for a run. Sigh.

There is already a thread on their fan forum indicating they need to sign him for life. That fan base is going to have to hold their breath any time a power 4 job opens up west of the Mississippi. I can’t imagine him being there any longer than 2-3 years.

Kinda like when two people get together by cheating on their spouses. They know it’s just a matter of time.

It's a classic question of glass half full or glass half empty, are we bummed that Danny left when he did or happy that he didn't leave for San Diego a year earlier as was strongly rumored at the time? He'll be a major conference head coach very soon.

He's going to be a legend.

Love all the enthusiasm but neither the Big Sky nor the MW are the stuff legends are made of.

But the Mountain West is a very good mid-major conference and exactly where a coach needs to be to make the next move up to a major conference program.

And San Diego State might disagree

I think what pisses me off the most about this whole situation is the Utah State fans that don't even deserve Danny. They're 14-1 and on their board bitching about how they're not that good, not all, but a lot. They just beat a top 15 team and they still haven't figured out the lotto ticket in their hands.

I'm sorry but I don't appreciate the fact that Sprinkle left his alma mater in worse shape than before he arrived. That's not something to be proud of.

So in your mind, do you think Sprinkle never should have returned to MSU unless he was willing to make a lifetime commitment to never leave? Even if he hadn't recruited Brown and Osobor to USU, I highly doubt they'd have withdrawn from the portal as both had multiple other very good offers.

It's just the new norm everyone is going to have to get used to, unless you have gobs of money you want to give MSU to keep the kids and coaches here.
I get it sucks, but if you're going to be bitter about someone improving their life then you're going to be a really bitter person.
