Idaho State at Arizona State

Did anyone watch the Bengals down in Tempe? They really gave ASU a run for their money. I hope they don't play that well against the Cats!

Bobby Hurley is not doing well in Tempe. The Sun Devils went to Duke for an exhibition last week and got destroyed by his alma mater. He was the better player than his brother by quite a bit, and the roles are exactly reversed when it comes to coaching.

In other news, EWU beat Seattle U in Cheney last night. EWU has a brand new roster and a new coach. They seem to reload every year with good players. Not sure how they do that. Dan Monson, who was at Long Beach State for years, is their coach. Monson is the son of U of Idaho legendary coach Don Monson.

Even though ASU is a P5 school they've rarely been good at basketball, so it's not surprising to me a decent Big Sky Conference squad could keep it close.

Idaho State is tied with USC with 3 minutes to go. The Bengals must be pretty good. Ryan Looney is a good coach. It's not easy getting good players to Pocatello and it's even harder keeping them there.

Arizona State taking Gonzaga down to the wire. They look just fine. 69-69 with 5 to go.
