MBB at UC Riverside
Not many people in the gym-at least opposite the camera side. Game just started. Trail 12-14.

Great game to watch, lots of back and forth action. Our guys are really trying for rebounds, so that's a good sign.

Re: MBB at UC Riverside
Up 53-41 at the half. Hit a lot of threes and long 2's. UC Riverside was getting way too many easy layups early, but that seemed to dry up as the half went on. Very lopsided from the free throw line-which usually happens on the road. Max Agbonkpolo was on fire and Tyler Patterson and Jabe Mullins both hit a couple of threes. Walker had his shot falling, including a three.

Bobcats playing well so far. Lots of ball movement and getting to their shots the last 5 or 6 minutes. Not a coincidence that they play their best team ball comes when Walker is on the bench

Can't believe Logie let that go for so long without calling a TO to get some subs in. We were absolutely gassed on defense.

Lead blown. We were hot, they are red hot-hitting everything. Walker has 25, but I think his tank is about empty.

Riverside had made 12 shots in a row before the one they just missed.BelgradeBobcat wrote: ↑Wed Dec 18, 2024 10:18 pmLead blown. We were hot, they are red hot-hitting everything. Walker has 25, but I think his tank is about empty.

We are ice cold shooting on all shots.. mid range or even close... not looking good. Need an adjustment of some kind..

Now we're throwing rocks at the basket. How can a team change from good to bad so fast. Geez. And they're still getting all the calls of course.

MSU has 20 points in the second half and 18 are by Walker. That won't win many games.

Who wants to win more? We need to stop their drives.

Re: MBB at UC Riverside
Walker ate up too many possessions to start the 2nd half. Max and the rest of the team were flowing when they didn’t have Walker holding the ball at the top of the key and killing the ball movement.
Defensive post pressure was also better with Kolly and Chika on the floor

We finally get to the line...and miss. 2-5 from the line for the whole game. That'll pretty much do it.

Yeah, definitely Walker's fault. He should have gotten his teammates more involved who have been throwing up absolute bricks all half.Desert_Bobcat wrote: ↑Wed Dec 18, 2024 10:39 pmWalker ate up too many possessions to start the 2nd half. We lose giving up an offensive rebound.
There is hope for this team, but they haven't figured it out yet. Thankfully football is still going so we're distracted.

All they have to do is show up to Boise in March and win three games. What seed are you? Who cares! Worked last year.BelgradeBobcat wrote: ↑Wed Dec 18, 2024 10:26 pmNow we're throwing rocks at the basket. How can a team change from good to bad so fast. Geez. Re: MBB at UC Riverside
If anything Walker appears to be trying to move the ball more than he ever did last year. We are definitely watching 2 different games.MSU01 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 18, 2024 10:44 pmYeah, definitely Walker's fault. Re: MBB at UC Riverside
Defense sucks. Rebounded better but gave up 2 key offensive ones at end. Missed big front end. Can't win on road like that. Not sure why couldn't find a pure point that can penetrate and get a shot with all the transfers that signed.
