Who is Going to Boise?
I'm going to take the plunge and go. Last time I went to the Big Sky tournament it was in Reno and I jinxed both teams. Both were one and done, including our number one seeded ladies. But I'm not going to let that stop me from going. Really encouraged from both teams' performances on Monday night. Looking forward to going to Cat Chat tonight and we are planning to drive to Boise Saturday afternoon for the noon tipoff with our ladies on Sunday. Go Cats!

I'm watching from home this year, saving up my travel budget to hopefully follow the women's team to the NCAA Tournament if they make it. Had a really great time at Stanford in 2022 despite the result of the game.

There are. I'd be surprised if there are any seats left around the tournament dates though as I think it's just one flight per day.

We are!
We always go via Whitehall to Dillon and then I-15 to Pokey and take a right to Boise. Mostly freeway and easy driving.
The designated Bobcat hangout before Bobcat games is the Parilla Grill-just a few blocks from the arena. The band and cheerleaders make an appearance for a little pep rally and then we all walk over to the arena. Be sure to make at least one of the pep rallys.

Re: Who is Going to Boise?
We were. But we aren’t. Heavy snow and wind in the forecast across all the high elevation country of Nevada. Highway 93 is forecast to be very bad. Temperatures will be down to near single digits. Nevada roads suggesting to not travel. Very disappointed, but it’s not 50 years ago when we were bulletproof. It’s been a ridiculously dry winter, until now. But it’s the right call.

I’ll be there with my crew!
I’ve come to enjoy the road trip. Especially the back roads where the “hills have eyes” thru Arco, Crater of the Moon, and the stunning vistas of Silver Creek.
Were a loud rowdy bunch and easy to spot! See ya there.

I second this. Although the brewery the first year was also a really good place for the Fire-up.BelgradeBobcat wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 7:10 pmWe are!

The only time we went that way we nearly died up there in a blizzard, and that road was in TERRIBLE condition. That was two years ago though.HighPlainsBobcat wrote: ↑Wed Mar 05, 2025 8:21 amI’ll be there with my crew!

Re: Who is Going to Boise?
Could fans who attended the tournament in Boise in previous years advise on ticket buying? Do you really need to buy reserved? Is it that crowded? Can you just purchase general admission and gather together as Bobcat fan section? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Who is Going to Boise?
My experience from attending the tournament in 2023 was that there were quite a lot of Bobcat fans throughout the arena and that there isn't really a "Bobcat Section" you need to have tickets in. I believe there's a block of tickets right behind the bench that are given to friends & family members of the team. I think you'd be fine just buying the cheapest GA tickets and then moving around depending on which bench MSU is using or where most of the other fans appear to be sitting.aucat wrote: ↑Thu Mar 06, 2025 10:23 amCould fans who attended the tournament in Boise in previous years advise on ticket buying? Re: Who is Going to Boise?
I just get GA. If I recall the team bench side is reserved, but depending on who's playing it's medium full to empty. We had to move once during a men's game. Opposite side seemed to be pretty general-sit anywhere. If the Bobcats aren't playing I like to migrate around. It's a hockey arena so the sections behind the basket are pretty far away. Love the view from the upper level and it seems like you can just sit anywhere. The concourse around the arena is in full view of the action so you don't miss anything going to the concessions. It's never been close to full for any session so waiting to get tickets at the arena is not a risk.MSU01 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 06, 2025 11:14 amMy experience from attending the tournament in 2023 was that there were quite a lot of Bobcat fans throughout the arena and that there isn't really a "Bobcat Section" you need to have tickets in. Re: Who is Going to Boise?
Yep, we generally sat in the lower level across from the Bobcat bench. As long as you stay out of the courtside seats and area directly behind the team bench I doubt you'd ever have an issue with being asked to move.BelgradeBobcat wrote: ↑Thu Mar 06, 2025 11:30 amI just get GA.
