Danny Having a Bad Year

Post by gtapp » Fri Mar 07, 2025 11:47 am

Currently last place (18th) in the Big Ten! Osobor is having a good year leading the team in points per game, assists, rebounds and steals. He is a senior so next year could be another bad year in Washington.

That's unfortunate. Danny is a great coach and a better man. I hope he gets it going over there.

He’s a great recruiter and players really connect with him. He’ll have them competing in 1-2 years.

I agree, and certainly nothing unfortunate about his pay check now. living the American dream.

That does make a dismal year easier to swallow!

Washington has the #13 incoming recruiting class in the country according to these rankings. They'll be very good sooner rather than later, I'd guess.

Osobor looks like he’s just going through the motions and lazy at times, correct me if I’m wrong. I’m sure the 2 million dollars salary has no effect right?

Great doesn't have a game suitable for the NBA. He doesn't shoot outside and is too short to play center. He should have a nice European career though.

I think being on a team that isn’t going anywhere has more of that effect than the money.

UW hasn't played in the NCAA tourney since 2018. Tremendous HS BBall talent in the Puget Sound area. Danny will need to keep the local talent at home and build his culture. Rooting for him!
