Who stays and who goes?

Here's how I would break it down. It's hard to predict anyone to be a definite returner in this day and age, so I'll call that group "question marks" for now. It would be great if Pat, Jed, and Bryce stay and form the core of next year's team. There are going to be a ton of new faces and transfer portal guys yet again with only two high school recruits signed so far.

Out of Eligibility

Lecholat, Patterson, Agbonkpolo, Mullins, Goracke, Nduka

Likely Transfer Portal

Walker, Kolly

Question Marks

McMahon, Miller, Zephir, Davis, Johnson, Rutherfurd

Incoming recruits are Howie Keene (TX) and CJ Purdie (NC). Here's the news article from when they were signed:

Where are you seeing Moskowitz and Gaddis? Are they contributors or will they leave?

I left them off since they aren't scholarship players and I don't really know anything about either. I suppose they'd go in the "Question Marks" category, but walk-ons generally aren't ever more than end of the bench guys who help out in practice and get to play sparingly in blowouts.

Yes, not like football where walk-on can develop and contribute down the road.

Kolly in the portal. No surprise. I'm very afraid Logie is like Fish. The big guys we can get at our level can't play his system. You have to hedge on the point guard then get back to guard the post, switch on every screen, chase perimeter players around the three point line, and be able to hit threes yourself. Jubrile Bello would be riding the pine in this system. More years of helplessly undersized big men like Sam Nuemann while our opponents go uncontested to the rim. Hope I'm wrong.

So with a max of 6 players coming back why only 2 incoming freshmen? Is Logie struggling to find HS players that want to come to MSU?

In this day and age it's hard to say whether they're just being selective with freshman recruits or struggling to find them. Teams are having so much success hitting on transfers (see UM this year) that it makes sense they want to leave spots open for those guys.
