Men's Roster 25-26

Post by lv2hoop » Thu Apr 03, 2025 11:42 am

Roster for next season is starting to take shape. It will be interesting how things look as this group starts to work & develop together over the next few months. I added some geographical references to try to make it interesting :)

Howie Keene 6' 7" wing from Houston, TX (actually The Woodlands, TX ... just N of Houston)
C.J. Purdie 6' 4" combo guard from Davidson, NC which is just above Charlotte and if you've ever flown out of CLT they have rocking chairs all over the airport to relax in while you wait for you flight.
Jeremiah Davis 6' 4" point guard/combo guard from Los Angeles (Fountain Valley, CA)
Jed Miller 6' 2" point guard from Agoura Hills, CA (looks to be just N of Malibu)
Patrick McMahon 6' 7" wing from Palmer, Alaska (Glaciers, Rivers and Mountains ... 35 minutes from Anchorage)
Calum Rutherfurd 6' 11" forward from Sebastopol, CA (just North of SF Bay Area...near CA wine country)
Davian Brown 6' 3" guard from Pasadena, CA (by way of LC State & Biola....older brother Darrius is a Bobcat legend)

Looking at this list, Coach Logie really has his work cut out for him to build a legit contender for next year. I hope the roster news gets better quickly as it would be a tragedy to burn up the momentum built from Coach Sprinkle's rebuild of Bobcat Men's basketball. Let's go Coach!

Don't forget, Sprinkle also stole us blind when he left. He also inherited a solid lineup when he came in but Logie didn't.

While registering my vehicles the assessor stated "I have had both Cat and Griz students and alums work for me and the Griz end up working under the direction of the Cats."

I believe he still has seven scholarships to fill, and I think Rutherford is a walk-on.

Logie faces a significant challenge this spring. The players who Logie signs this spring must be able to contribute significantly and immediately. He doesn't have the luxury of signing players to develop over time or making many missteps with his recruiting. This fall will also be a major test, as he'll need to mold a roster with only two returning players who saw significant minutes last season, along with ten newcomers, into a competitive Big Sky Conference team.
