Pat Casey
He just did it again. Ran a 1:47.7 (I think) at the meet today in Bozeman. For any of you who haven't seen him run, I urge you to go. He is absolutely unreal. I can't wait to see how he does at nationals. He basically had no competition again, next closest was a 1:54......the rest of the distance team is also very good. I wanna say Dan Jackson ran a 4:10 mile today. It would be fun to watch out team do a mile relay if they had one.

MSU record and Fieldhouse record. Auto-qualifies for NCAA Indoor in 800.
Wilson took second in 55 by .01. When was the last time he didn't win a race?

In regards to Wilson, I really hope he does outdoor this year. His finishing speed is unreal. He got off to a pretty bad start compared to the other two guys and came back to almost win the race. He's a crazy runner

Chronicle says Casey also has the fastest 800 time in the nation. So fastest mile and 800.

Re: Pat Casey
Altitude had a nice interview with Patrick during halftime of today's men's basketball game. It kind of sounded like Patrick was a bit surprised at the success in the 800, as if it is just something that happened along the way to his work on the mile. Heck of an athlete!

Re: Pat Casey
MSU brought him out to halfcourt at halftime and recognized him. Too bad more people couldn't have seen that, but good that the TV picked it up. Would be nice if they could do something for him prior to a football game or the Cat-Griz hoop game next year.Rich K wrote:Altitude had a nice interview with Patrick during halftime of today's men's basketball game. Just watched a video replay of his sub 4 minute mile. Cool as hell. Congrats Pat.
