Yeah, Justine Lamontagne has done herself and MSU proud. That 2nd place finish in the giant slalom was awesome and the 7th place as a team was not bad.

Back on Wednesday in the slalom Justine took 4th place, only missing 3rd and an appearance on the podium by 0.06 seconds. For perspective that's less time than blinking your eyes.

As it was the MSU women's team took 7th in the slalom but they were oh so close to taking 5th or better as a team.
Tea Kiesel was in great position to give significant points to the team when on her second run she was doing well and looked to be setting a very good time but about 5 seconds from finishing her race she missed a gate and did not finish. That was definitely a very bad break for Tea and the team.

I don't know anything about it, but I just love that MSU has a ski team.

The women's Nordic 20K freestyle team took third place today! The team is made up of Katey Houser who took 6th place, Kate Oldman took 10th place, and Anna Pryce took 11th place. A real nice tight grouping for the lady Cats.

The men's Nordic team took 11th and was led by Gavin Galyardt who placed 22nd.

Overall the combined men and women MSU ski team took 8th place.
