Montana State junior Nick Lam has been named the Big Sky Conference Field Athlete of the Week for his performance in the javelin throw at the Sun Angel Classic last weekend, the conference office announced today.
Lam catapulted to the top of the BSC performance list with a throw of 214’11”, just edging out teammate Dan van Swearingen for the javelin title at the meet hosted by Arizona State. Lam was the conference javelin champ in 2007 as a freshman and placed second in the BSC in 2008, qualifying for the regionals and nationals both years. He is a psychology major from Billings.
