Pickering one of three to sign

BOZEMAN — Montana State track and field coach Dale Kennedy has announced the signing of a sprinter and two javelin throwers.

Sprinter Gage Pickering of Billings Skyview has signed with the Bobcats, along with throwers Jasmine Crum of Veradale, Wash., and Jessica Morin of C.M. Russell High in Great Falls.

Pickering won the 100- and 200-meters at the state Class AA track and field championships. He also ran in two championship relay teams for Skyview.

Crum attended Gonzaga Prep High School, where her best throw was 133 feet.

Morin finished third in javelin at the state Class AA championships, with a throw of 116 feet, 4 inches. She threw 125-8 at a meet in Great Falls in April.
