Our men's and women's teams will compete Friday, Dec. 3 in the Fieldhouse from 4:30 - 8:30 PM. Attendance is free and open to the public. We will throw the javelin at 4:30, followed by the rest of the meet around 5:30. Each team currently has nine members, including two captains who will draft the rest of their teams after Thanksgiving. Events will be scored 6 places, and the scores from men and women will be combined. This challenges the captains to study the 50+ athletes not yet picked in order to pick the best possible teams.

Re: Track Blue Gold Meet Dec. 3
Coach,
What happened to Patrick Casey at the NCAA Cross Country Finals?
He was shooting for top 25, but ended up 144th. I thought I read that his target time was 30 min flat which would have been good for 10th. He finished at 31:32. Tight race....92 seconds separated 134 people!
That's still pretty impressive. For a guy who specializes in the mile (damn near a sprint, nowadays), to make the national championships in a 10k (6.2 miles).

Re: Track Blue Gold Meet Dec. 3
So we're all set for friday's indoor meet. The team is divided into blue and gold with a significant wager between them on the outcome. Combined scoring, men and women. Jav at 4:30 PM followed by everything else. Should finish around 8:00. We could use some volunteer officials, no experience necessary for some assignments.
