Great win, I'm sure that feels good after they got upset in the first round last year. Weber is very tough but anything can happen. Go Cats!

That was an awesome come from behind victory for the lady Bobcat volleyballers last night. They will need that "overcome all odds attitude" to beat Weber tonight. Weber looks' to be on a whole different level of play than the rest of the conference. Their sets are spot on and they have spikers that hit the ball much harder than the rest of the field. Go knock them off Bobcats!

Yep, Weber is really tough. MSU played well in the first set but still lost 25-20.

Win the second set, 27-25, in spite of shooting ourselves in the foot on three straight points at the end.

Weber has the back corner dialed in.

Weber crushes in set 3, 25-14. They couldn’t miss, we couldn’t get out of our own way. Setting had been awful; hitters can’t get good swings.

Led 18-12 in set 4, hang on to win 25-22. On to five!

Other than a few service errors, Weber just does not make mistakes.

Who made the decision to use a 7” screen for replay? The down ref made the call then overruled herself. ?????

It’s taken a long time for the Bobcats to be playing excellent volleyball again. Volleyball is influenced by the coaching so much. Sac State used to win the championship nearly every year — then their coach (I don’t remember her name) retired after like 30 years and they’ve never been that perennially good since. Dave Gantt left MSU after some 20-win seasons, and for the first time I feel like me might get there again. Congratulations Coach Daniel Jones and a bunch of really, really good players. And to the seniors, who came and stayed and led.

Wow! I didn’t realize that. Just caught the last two, and that was some well-played, exciting volleyball. It looks like Weber finally has a volleyball facility. I’ve been there a couple times in the past and to watch volleyball in the Dee Events Center basically required binoculars.

That was a great match and effort by the Lady Bobcats, they really stepped up their game the whole night! If I heard right in the post game interview with the Weber coach, he said that was the best match he had ever seen played on that court.
